Whitney Whitaker, MHC - LP
I am a mental health counselor practicing under a Limited Permit (MHC-LP) in New York, with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from SUNY Old Westbury. I bring empathy, presence, and authenticity to the therapy space, creating an environment where clients can feel supported and understood. I view therapy as a collaborative process where your story, values, and goals guide our work together.
My clinical experience includes working with individuals from a range of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. I have supported clients through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, relationship and family concerns, as well as identity exploration. I also have experience with eating disorders, substance use, and postpartum challenges, and have worked with both individuals and couples.
I strive to meet each client with respect, curiosity, and care. You will never be pressured to move faster than you’re ready for, and every session is shaped by what you need in the moment. My goal is to offer a space that feels safe, inclusive, and grounded in who you are as a whole person.
